Number 73

My kids took me to Anthony's for a birthday dinner last night. We dined on a variety of seafoods and shared among us. The highlight of the evening was....I ate my first raw oyster....it wasn't bad... but.... I prefer them breaded and fried with a little tartar sauce. ....in fact...that is what I ordered. It was a fun evening and a rare treat for us all to be together at the same time.

Before and after

Son sent this pix of  the before and after of the  hydraulics on his new boat. I guess "new" is kinda funny cause you can see that the original hydraulics are rusty, dusty mind boggling old... so the boat is definately not new.   The fellow who does the work does a beautiful job...if you're into stainless steel and bending and fitting :o)

Men at work

I found this pix on facebook yesterday and had to share. It is early in the morning and two of my sons were busy loading a herring net onto a trailer at the new town dock. The photo was submitted by Eric Long. I think the Gig Harbor, Washington site is my favorite facebook site thanks to the many camera buffs who are so happy to share.

Cousins gamin

God bless all the nerds who create apps.....Ingy and Jacob stayed here a while today and after daddy showed up with his iPhone...they cuddled up together to play musical alphabet. The learning tools kids have now days must make a teachers job so much  easier, though it must be hard to dazzle them with much of anything as they've seen it all :o)

Spring has sprung

I couldn't help but notice this tree this morning as I chatted with my sister in Ireland. She calls every Saturday via Skype and we catch up on the news. As I was visiting with her, the sun suddenly shone onto the tree and it was as if someone had turned on a light switch. Spring has definately sprung.

under the weather

Sorry there have been no posts...the crud got it's claws into me and I am hoping to recover soon...or die...which ever comes first :o)
