Edon Park used to be a sand and gravel company. Barges would come in at high tide to unload sand or gravel, then sail away before the tide left them high and dry. What was there has all been taken away and what is left is a wonderful place for people to play and Jacob would have thrown every available rock into the water if I'd have let him stay long enough. How lucky we are to have been planted in Gig Harbor :o)
