Whittier to Cordova

Happy first day of summer...brrrrrrrr.

An old classmate of mine who lives in Anchorage, is headed to Cordova from Whittier on the Alaska ferry. He just celebrated his 70th birthday and will be spending the summer working for Trident Seafoods. He wont be sliming fish, but there are plenty of other jobs that will keep him busy all summer.
Ron grew up in Gig Harbor, and we became friends when we met in the second grade at the old Rosedale School: the two room school that was across the street from Templetons grocery store and was torn down years ago to make way for the play field. You never know where you'll find Ron next. He is an avid music lover and treated himself on his 70th birthday to the new opera, Amelia, that opened in Seattle in May. Two years ago he got the last ticket to Mahlers, #8 Symphony of a Thousand, in Philadelphia. I see it's being done in Adelaide in 2012 so I'd not be surprised to find him in the audience :o)
