This article about the
Genius Project was in our local paper yesterday. I love to see an old boat get a new face, and ribs, and bottom and the Genius is getting all of the above. She was built in 1920 for my father in law, whom I never met because he died the month and year I was born. His brother, Spiro, came to this country first and no doubt helped with the financing. In 1928, the Genius was sold to Nick Skansi, and my father in law had the Sonia built. I'm thinkin one of these days I am going to have to take a drive to Port Townsend, stopping of course to check in at my sister's place.
